A complete strip-down, inspection and rebuild of a critical boiler feed pump set, returned to service inside the planned shutdown window.
The unit was showing rising vibration and bearing temperature. Our team dismantled the pump and driver, recorded clearances, and identified wear on the sleeve bearings and mechanical seal faces along with soft foot at the driver end.
Components were renewed, the baseplate corrected, and the train laser-aligned to tolerance. Post-overhaul vibration readings were taken at operating load and recorded in the handover report together with all as-found and as-left measurements.
